Arguably the first attempt at an electronic opera, this incomplete work, begun in 1990, was developing into a striking achievement. What we have remaining is an exciting and enlightening hint of what this opera would have been if fully realized. The idea was to create an electronic “orchestral” sound track which would serve as an accompaniment to the singers in live performance.

Most of the excerpts listed here are vivid sound pictures of scenes the Composer luckily labeled. The sound track, David's Vocalise can be sung. We don’t know for sure, except in the most general terms, where this excerpt would have appeared in the completed work or what its lyrics would have been. It was sufficently realized for its notation to be created. We are grateful for the talent of Jason Loffredo who transcribed the notation from archival audio tape. The Vocalise can be downloaded in four ways: as sheet music, as the complete transcribed sound file, the harp accompaniment by itself for rehearsal purposes and the original creation by Mr. DiGiacomo on the synthesizer.
