Frank DiGiacomo loved the human voice—its colors, its individuality, its power to inspire, inform and move us. His choice of lyrics, whether written by himself or others, was always a major element in his work.

In most cases, these songs were written expressly for the talented singers who performed them. Like the circle of friends and well-wishers around Schubert, these artists gave the Composer a very special inspiration.
